Two schools – one in Delhi and another in Indore – have become symbols of what’s possible in public education.
At the FICCI ARISE Excellence Awards 2025, two government schools supported by Peepul were recognised among the best in the country, competing alongside India’s top institutions.
- Sandipani Vidyalaya, Indore (Madhya Pradesh) – Winner: Future Ready Skills
- MCD Co-ed Primary School, Lajpat Nagar-3 (Delhi) – Special Jury Mention: Digital Transformation & Compliance
Over 800 schools – public and private – representing 22 States and Union Territories participated across nine categories that captured the full spectrum of school transformation, including teacher development, experiential learning, digital responsibility, and sustainability.
The recognition celebrates how these schools, supported by Peepul’s partnership with Amazon Future Engineer (Amazon’s computer science education programme) and state governments, are transforming teaching and learning through innovation and digital literacy for more than 70,000 students across Delhi and Madhya Pradesh.
Reimagining Classrooms
Teachers once hesitant to use technology now bring digital tools like Scratch & Scratch Jr. into daily lessons. Through Peepul’s Digital Literacy Programme, they’ve learned to blend screens with chalkboards – turning classrooms into spaces where curiosity thrives. Students are exploring coding, and building computational thinking skills, while discovering that learning can be both creative and future-ready.
“This recognition reaffirms that excellence in education can thrive anywhere — when teachers are supported and classrooms are reimagined,” says Urmila Chowdhury, Co-founder and Director – Education, Peepul. “Public schools too can lead the way in shaping India’s future-ready learners.”

Building Skills and Confidence
More than 90% of students in Peepul-supported classrooms say they enjoy digital learning and want to continue learning about computers. In Madhya Pradesh, Peepul’s Digital Literacy Curriculum supported a key systemic shift in computer science learning. For the first time, the state’s School Education Department sanctioned and printed Computer Science workbooks for all CM RISE schools (now Sandipani Vidyalay). Moreover, building on this success and momentum, the department also mandated the printing of these workbooks for all ICT schools across the state in 2025–26.
When a government school earns national recognition, it’s a win for every child who dares to dream bigger and every teacher who refuses to give up. At Peepul, we’re proud to help make those dreams real — one classroom at a time.
